Dorigo Design — Italy

Led by designer Dorigo Fiorenzo, this Italian studio brings European minimalism to our seating. The SPI, LIP, BAYA, MIST and BEEZ, co-designed with Dorigo Design, features clean lines and balanced proportions that fit both modern offices and hospitality spaces.

SPI(SF001, SF002)

The idea behind the shape of our chair SPI originated from the Ocean, and the design of the backrest is inspired by the shape of a spinnaker sail. This injected thermo-plastic shell is simple and graceful at first sight, yet intriguing and sophisticated upon further inspection. The subtle, however defining detail on the back of the chair, makes this project unique, joining the curved seat and backrest together with a soft, graphic edge on the back. The fluid shape of the shell is not only the representation of a sail, but even more importantly, it is also the result of excellent ergonomics and flex, making this chair very comfortable to sit on.

There are two variations of the chair, one with and one without armrest, linked together by the same distinctive design. We also developed a series of options to customize the product to the customer’s needs, like internal padding for the seat or for the entire shell, there is a fully upholstered variation, plus multiple finishes and styles for the bases, which complete the collection.

LIP(SF004)

LIP is an upholstered lounge chair, a soft-seating variation of the chair SPI. Like for its little sibling, the shape of this lounge chair is inspired by a spinnaker sail in the middle of the Ocean waves. This lower, extra-wide variation of the chair fits particularly well in contract environments like lounge bars and relaxed waiting areas.

A wide variety of different upholstery options, and a series of bases tweak the character of this product to suit many styles, from the more premium choice of leather upholstery.

BAYA (SF003)

The product BAYA is a playful single-shell plastic chair, characterised by its rounded outline and the large opening on the backrest. This possibility transforms the chair in a much cozier seat, both visually and ergonomically. The name BAYA was inspired by the enveloping shape of the backrest, reminiscent of a small sheltered bay.

MIST(D636)

Defined by a light and clean design, when designing Mist we aimed to create a modern yet timeless stackable chair with a cosy backrest, a hint of armrests, and a friendly personality. The streamlined shape of this injection moulded one-piece chair is emphasized by the straight edge that goes from the top of the backrest all the way down to the bottom of the rear legs. This serves both as an identifying detail and creates the hugging-like shape of the backrest.

The name Mist comes from the idea that the beauty of this chair slowly peers from its details, like the subtle charm of a misty morning. The result is an approachable and elegant everyday chair to furnish public and residential spaces alike.

BEEZ(D639 D640)

As with many of our products, the outdoor collection BEEZ was inspired by Nature. For this project we chose to work with the beautiful and reliable honeycomb structure, although, giving it a unique and distinctive twist.

The complete family of products BEEZ, consisting of dining chair and armchair is characterized by a three-dimensional honeycomb structure that covers all the seat and backrest of the seating elements. This dramatic pattern not only makes the products aesthetically intriguing but also provides stability, making the items both stronger and lighter, and at the same time utilising considerably less material.Being the products of this collection a one-piece design, without any additional internal structure, these thermo-plastic products are also easily and completely recyclable

Baldanzi & Novelli — Italy

Design rhymes with Italy! Adriano Baldanzi and Alessandro Novelli, born and bred in Tuscany, know this all too well! After graduating in Industrial Design at ISIA in Florence they embarked on a design adventure that has led them to be considered amongst the best Italian designers in the seating and office furniture sector, and not only.

In fact, 30 years of experience have enabled them to develop a great design culture and a thorough understanding of the technology available and the real demands of the different markets, to the point that they are considered more partners than designers by the companies that choose them. This approach has always been in their DNA. They then devoted themselves to their true vocation: design. Their career encompasses some emblematic geographical milestones: working first in a small but very demanding Italy, then in Europe, they are now in demand all over the world. Their homeland is a source of constant inspiration and their international experiences offer constant enrichment.

More is a chair characterized by its formal lightness. Recognizable for the smooth and flexible backrest that well match a seat shaped by a light and comfortable lining. The whole is supported by means of a framework made of an exclusively-shaped tubular profile. The tablet is placed through a die-cast aluminum element connected to the rear leg. A retractable hook under the seat serves for easy alignment. Easily stackable for an easy storage.The optional front wheels version is easy to move.

TREE(A644)

Nature often stimulates creativity. So, looking the structure of a tree, its movement stirred by the wind, so full of leaves, majestic, fascinating and timeless, TREE CHAIR was born.The structure of TREE, like a tree that starts from the roots, rises up from the bottom supporting first the seat, and then up again branches out to support not the leaves, but a rubber veil or a mesh that are the backrest. We have thus created a safe and light support for the back.The armrest has the same spirit of the branches, coming out from under the seat.We have taken the flexibility of the tree.

An accurate study of the material to be used and the appropriate thickness has made it possible to eliminate the traditional metal mechanisms. We have enhanced the elastic and mechanical properties of the "plastic". The structure is designed to flex where it needs to bend and be rigid where it needs support.The lumbar support, like the headrest, are also a harmonious branch extending from the trunk. The result is an innovative composition made of branches and leaves, carrying the strong yet light image of the tree from which the project takes its name.

STONAGE(D632)

An unconventional project, first pouf, then a chair, with a small desk and a space to store personal stuff. This is STONAGE, a large, well-rounded shape without edges, lightened by a large central opening, this collects your items that you don't need now, but could always be useful.The upper part is tailored to your body, on which you can add a soft cushion, it will be your seat.If you need to stay for a while, you can use an appropriate backrest inserted at the back of the seat.

When it's not just a break, it can become a small workspace, a small table fixed on side of the seat can be used for this purpose, you can lift it up and then put it away back when the job is done. STONAGE is a great project that will find its habitat in public places, workplaces or that you can take home, because the colours of STONAGE will be the right answer for everyone.Castors hidden in the body are very important for an easy movement in all environments.

Justus Kolberg — Germany

A German designer focused on functional office furniture. Kolberg's work is rooted in precision and practicality — every curve and angle serves a purpose, built for real daily use in busy workplaces.

TASKER (A643-22)

Our target was to create a calm, congenial and harmonic chair to realize a positive atmosphere in the office. The chair is designed to grant the maximum of consumer comfort. The core-innovation of this chair is its new flexible back-construction. It´s innovative simplicity creating intelligent elegance and high comfort.

The mechanism provides a self-adjustment synchronous movement. The user of every weight will be supported perfectly. The mesh-frame-construction of the back creates an individual self-adjusted comfort.It´s engineered to realizes a 3-D-movement including a side-by-side-flexibility.The flexible lumbar-support is an add-on-element to be clipped on and off by the end-user.The armrests are designed to be adjusted easily and intuitive in all 3 dimensions in the top of the armrest. The over-all-design of the chair is soft and friendly, clear and calm.
