Why do MSDA chairs use PP+GF instead of regular PP or ABS?
2026-08-31
Adding glass fiber (GF) to polypropylene dramatically increases its stiffness, impact strength, and heat resistance—while keeping the part lightweight. For structural parts like backrests and bases, PP+GF gives us performance close to engineering plastics (such as PA) at a much lower cost. ABS is reserved for decorative parts where surface finish matters more than load.
